
Keshab Bk
Keshab Bk, from Rolpa, completed his SEE from Shree Tripureshwari Secondary School. He grew up among his younger brother, an elder sister and his parents.
Keshab’s father is a daily wage earner and his mother a homemaker. Despite financial hardships in the family, Keshab has persevered and been dedicated to his education and co-curricular activities. He participated in quiz competitions, essay competitions, speech competitions and debate competitions, as well as sports competitions, like volleyball, high jump and long jump and won several prizes. Beyond his school activities, Keshab also actively took up paid work to contribute to family’s financial needs.
Before Samaanta, Keshab found himself in a difficult place with unideal choices – stay back to study Humanities, the only choice available in his hometown, move to work in Dang to afford a study in the education stream of his interest, or move to India to earn for his family.
Upon receiving Samaanta Fellowship, Keshab has been able to prioritize his education. He is currently studying Management (Computer Science) at Nepal Mega College.
