“I am pleased to share my journey with Samaanta and its impacts on my life and academic achievements.”

I come from a small village where opportunities are often limited, especially for girls. I attended a government school, which provided a decent education given its limited resources. However, achieving anything other than what was available in the village seemed impossible.

When I first heard about the Samaanta Foundation and its all-rounded and dynamic Fellowship, I was hopeful and excited. Samaanta not only focuses on the academics of its Fellows but also focuses on building leadership and critical thinking skills. The idea of joining such a supportive community intrigued me.

After becoming a Samaanta Fellow, I found it to be even more amazing than I had imagined. The mentorship and training programs helped me step out of my comfort zone and discover my potential. I learned new things, improved my communication, learned how to be a team player and ultimately made better decisions. Being selected by Samaanta was a happy and life-changing moment for me. It provided me with education, mentorship, and personal growth opportunities. It also gave me the chance to visit new places and make friends from different backgrounds, which greatly helped me become more confident and capable.

One of the best things that happened to me as a Samaanta Fellow is, I got the opportunity to study science in high school. I always wanted to be an engineer, but it seemed impossible due to the lack of necessary financial resources. Without Samaanta, my family would not be able to afford for me to study science. Their support has been important in helping me follow my dream. Now, I am studying science at Nepal Mega College. Here, I am learning subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Computer Science, which will help me build a solid background in science.

Science has been both challenging and rewarding for me. The subjects are tough and need persistent hard work, but they have taught me important skills. I have learned how to think carefully and make good decisions. Problem-solving is also a big part of my studies, helping me figure out how to solve difficult issues.

In class, we do practical experiments and projects that give me hands-on experience. This means I get to use what I learn in real-life situations. This kind of learning makes science more fun and exciting for me. The Fellowship has made me confident that I can reach my goal of becoming an engineer and making a positive difference in society.

I have also joined many workshops and activities outside of my regular classes. I have attended workshops on emotional health, cyber security, mental health, digital rights, and public speaking. These experiences have not only added to my knowledge but also helped me become a well-rounded individual.

As part of community work, I collaborated with my Samaanta peers to promote personal hygiene and social values at a rural school in the Lamjung district. During this initiative, I introduced students to the concept of monthly meetings and the practice of gratitude and thanksgiving concepts that I learned from Samaanta. It felt great to teach students something meaningful that could benefit them and their community. This experience was possible because of the knowledge and support I received from Samaanta

I also had the opportunity to be part of a three-month fellowship at Aakar Nepal, where I learned about community work and enhanced my network. During this time, I visited a government school in the Sindhupalchowk district and conducted a session on stress and stress management. Having personally experienced the negative effects of stress, I wanted to raise awareness among the students about how to manage stress effectively. It was a meaningful experience that allowed me to share what I had learned and help others navigate challenges in their lives.

In conclusion, my experience at Samaanta has been transformative. It has given me the platform to dream bigger and achieve more. I am grateful for the support and opportunities that have come my way through this wonderful organization.
