Indian Premier League (IPL) is the famous cricket tournament of India. It started from 2007. Every year, IPL gives a platform for all the famous players of the world to participate. However, there were no single Nepali player in IPL. Since 2018, Sandeep Lamichhane got an opportunity to play in IPL from Delhi Daredevils.

Sandeep Lamichhane was born on 2nd August 2000 in Syangja, Nepal. His family moved to India when he was very young. In India, Sandeep started playing cricket and after some time his family shifted back to Chitwan, Nepal where he learnt more about cricket from Raju Khadka. Sandeep joined Chitwan Cricket Club at the age of 11. He played first game on 2015 against Melbourne Club. After that, he got a place in the National Cricket team in 2016.

Sandeep was bought by Delhi daredevils for 20 lakh which was huge amount for Nepali cricketers. Initially, Sandeep didn’t get opportunities to play in first qualifying game. However,  when he got chance to play, he proved that he is also a talented Cricketer. He took a big wicket in his first match. Sandeep took another important wickets in his next games. After his second game, his followers and friends increased dramatically. He played his last game against MI and took 3 wickets in only 4 overs, which was a huge win for the team.
