At Samaanta, we are passionate about providing quality higher education opportunities to deserving students from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds. We firmly believe in the core value of “Paying it Forward,” and we understand that small gestures can create meaningful and significant impact in someone’s life.
After the success of our first fundraising campaign, an Art and Craft Exhibition to raise funds to support one more Fellow in the year 2023, our Fellows have grown a lot. As an organization, we engaged with more than 450 people in person and we were able to connect to many more through our social media and other virtual platforms.
We were able to raise a whopping Rs. 3,27,515 out of the targeted amount of Rs. 4,00,000, all by the effort of our Fellows. Approximately 400 people visited and purchased the products created by the Fellows themselves and around 50 people bought the products via online. During the exhibition, an array of art and craft forms were showcased, including Mandala, Quilling, Bottle art, Stone art, sketches, paintings, and more.
Every year, the Samaanta Foundation has to go through the rigorous process of selecting a limited number of Fellows from a pool of extremely talented students. With a very heavy heart, it has to let go of extremely talented students due to its limited capacity. This campaign in collaboration with several individuals and organizations will help to overcome this hurdle. We believe that it is not only about transforming the life of a single Fellow, but it is also bringing change and uplifting the situation of the community they belong to. With a deep understanding of the impact of the Samaanta Foundation’s potential to change the educational ecosystem of Nepal, we aim to make this fundraising a huge success. The highlight of this year’s Campaign will be the Closing Ceremony, where we aim to invite our individual/ institutional partners, supporters and our well-wishers to come together to support Samaanta Foundation.
