Jeni Shrestha (Completed Bachelor in Business Administration)

First Cohort

I am Jeni shrestha, I live in Kotdada,Lalitpur. I completed BBA from Thames International college under partial scholarship scheme. And before that I did my +2 from Pentagon International college. There are six members in my family – grand mother, mother, father, younger bother and me. 

My first priority is my family, and I want to support them in any way possible. Because of Sammanta Foundation I could continue my studies. Had I not been selected for the fellowship program maybe I would have left my studies or I probably would have got married. Many of my friends have already been married, some even have kids. 

Today when I go home I often hear neighbours saying to their children, “You have to study well and look at the story of Jeni didi. If you work hard you will get such opportunities in life”. I feel very proud when I hear this and I sense many people in my village has taken me as their role model. Currently as a Teach for Nepal(TFN) fellow, I’m teaching in a public school at Lamjung.
