Deepa is a 10th cohort Fellow of the Samaanta Foundation and is originally from Gorkha district. She completed her SEE from Shree Saraswati Secondary School, Tanahun and has completed her high school in the management faculty from V.S. Niketan College, achieving an impressive GPA of 3.8/4.0.

She was also involved in a three-month-long ‘Community Leadership Program’ led by Aakar Nepal. As an Aakar fellow, she helped raise awareness about street children and the challenges they face, among the students of V.S. Niketan College.
Deepa says, “The confidence I have right now is all because of the Samaanta Foundation. Samaanta has also helped me strengthen my social interaction and rapport-building skills.” She adds, “When I go back to my village, I compare myself with my friends from my previous school and I find that I have had more opportunities to learn more skills than they have. I am extremely happy about my growth which would not have been possible without Samaanta Foundation.”
Deepa is now pursuing her Bachelor’s in Business Administration (BBA) at Thames International College, where she has been awarded with a full tuition waiver. She wants to become an entrepreneur in the future and aspires to help generate employment, especially for women.
