Asmita Tamang completed her SEE at Shree Thoolo Thakanee Secondary School and is originally from Sindhupalchok. A dedicated youth leader and advocate, she has been actively involved in addressing social issues affecting children and vulnerable communities. As the Chairperson of the Child Club in her local municipality, Asmita has worked to reduce social problems related to children with disabilities and mental health challenges, protected girls from human trafficking through awareness and counseling efforts, and organized football and other sports programs for students. She has also trained students who struggled with public speaking, raised funds to support orphaned children, and led initiatives focused on reducing school dropout rates and understanding their underlying causes. Her work has consistently emphasized the importance of civic engagement, social justice, and youth participation in Nepali society.

Asmita lives with her father, mother, four elder brothers, and one younger sister in a large family of eight. Alongside her community involvement, she enjoys singing and playing football. Passionate about science and biology, she aspires to pursue a career in public service and hopes to become a civil servant, where she can continue working to improve the lives of people in her community and contribute to national development.
