Shobha Adhikari 

Tenth Cohort

Shobha is a 10th cohort Fellow of the Samaanta Foundation, originally from Sindhupalchok district. She completed her SEE from Shree Shitaladevi Secondary School. She has completed high school in the management faculty at V.S. Niketan College with a GPA of 3.05/4.0.  

She participated in WomenLEAD Nepal’s Leadership course for a year. She led a project called “Behind the Curtains” in which she worked to raise awareness about the LGBTQIA+ community in Nepal among the students of Venus Public School, Jorpati, Kathmandu. She is passionate about creating an inclusive society where people of all genders can lead a dignified life. Similarly, she also participated in a 3 month-long ‘Community Leadership Program’ as an Aakar Nepal fellow where she conducted programs to raise awareness about the effects of caste discrimination among the students of Shree SitalaDevi Secondary School in Melamchi, Sindhupalchowk. 

Shobha is now studying Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) program at King’s College with a full tuition waiver, a testament to her academic performance so far. Shobha attributes her career-oriented personality to Samaanta Foundation and credits Samaanta with helping her realise her potential.
