Rudrasing Tamang

Twelfth Cohort

Rudrasing comes from an agricultural family located in Sindhupalchowk District. Within his family of five members, both his parents are involved in farming, and the farm’s produce is just enough to meet their family’s basic needs. Occasionally, they engage in YarsaGumba collection as a supplementary source of income. Due to family hardships, his elder brother had to drop out of school after completing the 12th grade and he assists their parents in agricultural work now.

The nearest college from their home is a 2.5-hour walk away, and it offers only Arts as a subject, significantly limiting Rudrasing’s opportunities for higher education.

During his school years, Rudrasing actively participated in various activities, including his involvement in the child club, volunteering for Kshitiz Sikai Mela, and participating in events like quiz competitions, speech contests, and football.

Currently, Rudrasing is pursuing a degree in Management at Nepal Mega College. He is known for his strong work ethic, simple and unassuming personality, as well as his calm and well-articulated nature. In addition to his academic pursuits, he also enjoys playing the flute.
