We are delighted to announce the completion of the first and second round interviews of the candidates for our 12th Cohort. Every year, Samaanta Foundation goes through a rigorous recruitment process to provide comprehensive higher education Fellowships to meritorious public school graduates from disadvantaged communities in rural Nepal.
Over February, March and April, we interviewed 99+ candidates from 52+ schools across 16 districts, including districts – Dang, Parsa, Kavre, Lalitpur, Dhanusha, Sindhupalchok, Lamjung, Parbat, Rolpa, Humla, Tanahun, Kalikot, Mugu, Rolpa, Banke, Kapilbastu, Solukhumbu, and Bardiya. This would not have been possible without the support of our fellows, Teach For Nepal Fellows, and public school teachers who helped set up written exams and interviews.
As always, we have an incredible pool of candidates. During the interviews, we got to meet and learn from these students who have overcome incredible adversity to make progress toward their ambitions.
Now on to the intense process of selecting a few from among the many, many outstanding candidates with great potential over the upcoming weeks.
