We are thrilled to share that Sunita Nepali one of our 9th cohort fellows, has been offered a full scholarship to pursue an IB Diploma at UWC Red Cross Nordic in Norway!

She will join Asmita Mandal who became the first Samaanta fellow to attend UWC Red Cross Nordic last year. Congratulations, Sunita!

United World Colleges (UWC) is a global education initiative that provides opportunities for talented and dedicated students to study two years of high school abroad in a reputed international institution. Sunita was selected by UWC Nepal’s national committee through a competitive process and will travel to Norway next school year.

We will miss Sunita in Nepal next year. Sunita has a quick wit, curiosity, and a commitment to social change and justice.

She is currently enrolled to study law at Nepal Mega College. Her own experiences growing up in Lamjung and more recently, the Nirmala Panta case led her to choose law. Sunita enlivens Samaanta’s weekly English workshops with her astute observations on the current political situation in Nepal. She is eager to learn more about global dynamics.

We look forward to following along on Sunita’s journey in Norway next year!
