We are delighted to present Samaanta Foundation’s 12th cohort. This cohort of 14 Fellows showcases the depth of potential across our public school system. We are particularly proud of the range of geographical, ethnic, and gender diversity represented again in our new cohort.
Over the last three months, we had the privilege of interviewing 101 candidates from 53 public schools across 17 districts: Banke, Bardiya, Dang, Dhanusha, Humla, Kalikot, Kapilvastu, Kavre, Lalitpur, Lamjung, Mugu, Parbat, Parsa, Ropla, Sindhupalchowk, Solukhumbu, and Tanahun.
We are impressed by the academic performance; remarkable resilience; and potential for service and leadership exhibited by each of the nominees. Although we could only accept 14 Fellows this year- still our joint largest cohort- we deeply appreciate all the outstanding candidates and wish them the very best in their future endeavors.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Fellows, alumni, public school teachers, and everyone else who contributed to the selection process.
The addition of this cohort brings Samaanta’s total Fellowship count to 106, with 51 Fellows currently benefiting from up to seven years of ongoing, residential support for their higher education endeavors. We will share the unique stories and achievements of each of our new Fellows over the coming weeks and months.
We warmly welcome our latest cohort into the ever-growing Samaanta family and look forward to supporting them in every way possible to help them realize their tremendous talent and potential.
